A neighborhood with homes partially flooded
Several cities in the Philippines are participating in an urban climate resilience project that will help communities adapt to climate change. Activities include planting trees, conducting coastal clean-ups and using technology to create flood hazard maps

Now is the time to ensure your members know you care about communities impacted by hunger and climate change.

Hunger and climate change are pushing millions of people into poverty. Global hunger is increasing at an alarming rate as families struggle to meet their food needs due to conflict, climate change and rising costs. Extreme weather is undermining livelihoods and devastating homes and communities, leading to increased hunger, displacement and conflict.

Congress can and must help address global food insecurity and the impacts of climate change by:

  • Passing a new Farm Bill that strengthens critical international food assistance programs.
  • Demonstrating U.S. global leadership in addressing the impacts of climate change and ensuring that communities worldwide can strengthen their resilience, achieve sustainable food security and thrive.
  • Increasing funding for poverty-reducing international development and humanitarian assistance programs.

You can make a difference. Urge your legislators to use the remainder of the 118th Congress to prioritize addressing the impacts of hunger and climate change on vulnerable communities around the world. Thank you for taking action today!
