Your voice matters! Tell Congress that addressing global poverty and its root causes—including hunger and climate change—is important to you.

As we begin the Jubilee Year 2025—a Holy Year when all are called to be signs of hope, especially for people experiencing hardships—we must act now for our sisters and brothers most in need. More than 700 million people experienced hunger in 2023. Extreme weather events continue to undermine livelihoods, ruin crops or devastate homes, pushing people further into poverty.

As the 119th Congress begins and lawmakers are setting their priorities for the year, now is the time to let your voice be heard. Together, we can advocate for just solutions that address the world’s biggest problems.

As a global leader, the U.S. government has a critical role to play in addressing hunger and helping vulnerable communities adapt to the effects of climate change. Congress can demonstrate U.S. leadership on these issues by:

  • Funding poverty-reducing budget lines that help people worldwide access resources to strengthen their resilience and thrive.
  • Passing a just Farm Bill that protects critical international hunger-reducing programs.
  • Maintaining engagement with other nations and organizations on climate change adaptation programs that help communities overcome the challenges of extreme weather events.

We need members from both sides of the aisle to move the needle on these issues to achieve lasting change for our human family. Thank you for taking action today!

Did you know❓ Research shows that constituents’ voices have significant influence on congressional members’ decision-making, especially when communications are personalized—like sharing a story or demonstrating the impact an issue will have in the district or state.
