Education programming in Lebanon

Pope Francis urges us, "Let us hear the cry of the victims and those suffering. Let us allow them to teach us a lesson in humanity."

Children make up more than half of all Syrian refugees. They have witnessed violence, lost homes or loved ones, and most have been out of school for years.

Refugee children, especially girls, are also more vulnerable to human trafficking, early marriage, and forced labor. Providing opportunities for education is one way to reduce their risk of being trafficked.

You can support refugee children today by calling on your Senators to co-sponsor the Protecting Girls' Access to Education in Vulnerable Settings Act. This bill will help to ensure that refugee children, especially girls, have access to education.
